Psychiatric services are available for young people in our residential program who are assessed to have a dual diagnosis - both a chemical dependency problem and a mental health problem. Problems like depression, anxiety, conduct disorders or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder must be treated in order for substance abuse treatment to be effective.
A thorough assessment provided at the beginning of treatment can help identify other health problems. A psychiatrist is a part of each client's treatment team and works closely with addiction therapists.
