Mark Heriford, MA, CADC 

Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician

Mark is an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician at Chestnut Health Systems, specializing in Veterans and individuals with mental health or substance-related conditions, as well as survivors of abuse or trauma. He is trained in several evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). 

Mark earned his bachelor's degree in psychology and master's degree in addiction counseling from Liberty University. He approaches treatment with a focus on patient-centered care, prioritizing the needs of his patients by taking their values, preferences, and physical comfort into account. He also emphasizes the importance of the patient’s family and friends in their overall wellness journey. 

Mark chose this field because he had a deep desire to help those who were struggling. He enjoys seeing his patients improve and succeed in their goals.  

In his spare time, he enjoys 3D printing, reading, and spending time with his wife and four children.

Sinata Jinadu, BSN, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Sinata is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Chestnut Health Systems, specializing in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. She is a member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI). 

Sinata earned her Bachelor's of Nursing from Illinois State University and her Master of Nursing from Maryville University. She approaches treatment with a focus on patient-centered care that emphasizes the collaboration between the provider and patient, allowing the patient to be an active participant in their care.  

Sinata chose this field because she had witnessed the personal struggles of others, recognizing that everyone’s needs are unique and require personalized, appropriate, and effective care. She enjoys watching her patients reach their goals and thrive both mentally and physically. 

In her spare time, Sinata enjoys reading, traveling, and finding new hobbies.

Austin Howald, LCSW

Director of Integrated Community Services

Austin is Board Certified in Social Work - Clinical Mental Health at Chestnut Health Systems, specializing in community-based services. He is trained in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Health and Motivational Interviewing, and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Austin's approach to treatment is person-centered and strength-based, believing that the measurement of good care is found in the constructive and therapeutic relationship held with his clients. The relationship is paramount to helping individuals reach their goals and improve their lives.

Austin chose this field because he believes that serving the community and providing treatment and support to those in need is an integral part of his own recovery journey. He enjoys having opportunities to connect with different people and make an impact on their lives.

In his spare time, Austin enjoys spending time with his family and painting.

Cindy Kohtz, EdD, MSN, BSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse 

Cindy is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Chestnut Health Systems, specializing in psychiatric mental health and substance use disorders. She stays up to date on research, reviews comprehensive studies, and government websites to ensure she is well educated on the ever-changing landscape of healthcare. She is an active member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners. 

Cindy earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Doctorate in Education from Illinois State University, and two Post-Masters Certificates from Illinois State University – Mennonite College of Nursing. She approaches treatment with a focus on whole-person care. Although she specializes in mental health care, there are more facets to each person to consider. 

Cindy taught nursing at the baccalaureate and masters’ level for several years but was drawn back to direct patient care once she recognized the enormous need for mental health care in the community. She enjoys educating her patients and working with them on individualized treatment plans that can promote their overall health. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys traveling, gardening, seeing her loved ones, and playing with her animals.

Brittany Moist PMHNP, AGNP

Brittany is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her post-graduate certification and Masters in Adult Gerontology (AGNP) from Maryville University. Brittany wants to improve access, reduce stigma, and educate the public.

Tammy Osborn, APRN, PMHNP

Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Tammy is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Chestnut Health Systems. She is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Tammy has a Master of Science in Nursing. She approaches treatment by working with the patient as a team, aiming to help patients develop a plan that works best for them and their lifestyle.

Tammy chose this field to show people with mental illness or substance use disorders that someone is here for them and wants to help. She enjoys making personal connections with each of her patients and in her spare time, Tammy enjoys traveling.
