A logo should be relevant to an organization’s practice. It should have meaning that relates to the organization’s work.

The four quadrants of the Chestnut Health Systems™ logo represent leaves which pay tribute to our name and historical identity. The original Chestnut logo depicted three Chestnut trees.

Each quadrant represents one of our four core service lines: addiction treatment, mental health treatment, primary care, and research. The leaves come together in a way that represents integration, as we strive to provide whole-person care to all who come to us for help. The negative space between the quadrants creates a medical cross, which symbolizes health care.

The colors of the logo are also symbolic. Gray, the anchor color, represents a stable base from which the new and positive can come. Blue symbolizes loyalty, strength, wisdom, and trust. It has a calming effect. Green enables both mental and physical relaxation and is beneficial in the treatment of depression, nervousness, and anxiety.
