Dr. Rogers is a graduate of Western Illinois University and Southern Illinois School of Medicine. He has more than 40 years of family and emergency medicine experience including providing high-quality health care to children, adolescents, and adults.

As medical director, Dr. Rogers’ goal is to “help guide Chestnut Family Health Center in a direction so the community will see it as a valuable and accessible resource for primary health care, behavioral health care, and dental care.”

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Certified Physician Executive.

Dr. Rogers is interested in seeing a wide range of patients who have different needs. He has a special interest in skin conditions and minor office procedures.

When he’s not practicing medicine, he enjoys horticulture, reading, and spending time with his family. He is also an avid runner and has completed the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run twelve times.

Dr. Brockhouse is a family medicine physician who has practiced in Bloomington- Normal since 1991. She earned both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science from Illinois State University. She is a graduate of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency training at SIU.

Dr. Brockhouse is a board-certified physician focusing on Medication Assisted Recovery. She has been treating Substance Use Disorder since 2014. Dr. Brockhouse’s passion is to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care to individuals suffering from Substance Use Disorder.

Melinda is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has her master’s degree in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and her bachelor’s in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. For more than eight years, Melinda was an emergency room nurse, which gives her extensive knowledge about caring for newborns to geriatrics. She is excited to engage in patient relationships to help improve overall health and wellness. Melinda is always available, takes pride in caring for her patients, and strives to live the Chestnut mission statement: Making a Difference: Improving quality of life through excellence in service. Cindy has a long history in nursing – working primarily in cardiac care and occupational health. After receiving a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Illinois and a doctorate degree in education from Illinois State University, Cindy taught nursing for several years at the baccalaureate and master’s levels at Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing and Methodist College of Nursing. While a very rewarding career path, Cindy missed having her own patients and returned to school at Mennonite College of Nursing at ISU for a post-master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Later, she was drawn to care for those struggling with mental health concerns, and again returned to ISU and obtained a second post-master’s certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Cindy enjoys teaching and collaborating with patients to create an individualized treatment plan that best meets their needs. As a proud member of the Chestnut Family Health Center care team, Cindy strives to make a positive difference in the lives of others and to help each patient achieve and maintain a happy, healthy life.

Brittany is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her post-graduate certification and Masters in Adult Gerontology (AGNP) from Maryville University. Brittany has worked in many different practice areas as a nurse and nurse practitioner but has always had a passion for mental health. Brittany’s ambition is to improve access to mental health care and to reduce the stigma with an overall goal of educating the public. Brittany believes in a whole-body approach and feels mental health, just like physical health, requires treatment when changes occur.

Dr. Garner has practiced internal medicine in Illinois since 1988. Dr. Garner received his bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He received his MD degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his internship and residency at Saint John’s Mercy Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO. Dr. Garner is board certified in general internal medicine and in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine and in Addiction Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Veronica is Chestnut Health Systems’ lead Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). She has been a nurse practitioner with Chestnut since 2014. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master’s in Nursing Science, Psychiatric and Mental Health at the University of North Dakota. She earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Nursing and in Community Health. She has worked with individuals of all ages and in various settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health, urgent care, addiction medicine, and adolescent residential treatment. Her goal is to provide holistic care and to work together to improve client health and wellness.

Laurie is a lifelong learner and is currently working on obtaining her Psychiatric Mental Health Certificate through the University of Missouri, Columbia. 

Laurie has a variety of experiences as a nurse including assisting in opening a school-based health clinic in rural Missouri which provides primary care to pediatrics and adults.

Laurie's goal is to help clients reach their healthcare goals and improve access to quality healthcare, including mental health and medication-assisted recovery for all segments of the population.

Robyn completed her Masters in Nursing Science at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and her post-master’s for mental health at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and at Maryville University. Robyn’s goal is to provide her clients with the tools to live a successful life.
