This project’s goal is to increase the availability of user-friendly, relevant data to inform local decisions and policies across Oregon to ultimately connect individuals to a continuum of substance use services, prevent overdoses, and improve substance use policies. This project incorporates the perspectives, data, and suggestions of representatives from 5 perspectives: public health, behavioral health, first responders, health payers, and advocacy groups. This will involve facilitated group discussions, focus groups, surveys, and written feedback. Data products are then co-created to share data prioritized by local representatives, available to them in easily digestible, transparent formats. Through this project we are enhancing our understanding of data-driven decision making and system collaborations to improve substance use services, policies, and outcomes for individuals who are impacted by substance use services and policies.
