Behavioral Health Workplace Innovation Center

The Behavioral Health Workplace Innovation Center (BHWIC) provides evaluation research, outcome measurement, product development, trend analysis, and dissemination of findings by:

  1. Identifying “best practice” methods employers (and their vendors) can use to effectively prevent or respond to behavioral health issues among employees, including systematic screening and linkage to services.
  2. Evaluating employer-sponsored behavioral health programs, benefits, claims experience, and related workplace policies.
  3. Analyzing trends in workplace behavioral health models, vendors, technology solutions, pay-for-performance, and service utilization.
  4. Developing, validating, and implementing tools to measure the outcomes or results of workplace health and well-being programs.
  5. Researching and recommending approaches to improve workforce recruitment and retention in the “helping” or behavioral health professions.
  6. Examining supportive employment or vocational programs for people in recovery, including the formerly incarcerated and recipients of Medicaid.
