Lighthouse Institute (LI) operates out of three main physical offices in Bloomington, IL, Chicago, IL, and Eugene, OR and has remote staff in 23 states across the United States.
LI staff have backgrounds and expertise in substance use and criminal legal system research, implementation science, implementation policy research, business, education, management information systems, psychology, public health, rehabilitation, research methods, statistics, and social work. Our team includes multiple people with lived experience with substance use disorders and legal and welfare systems involvement.
Our team is committed to mentoring scientists with lived experience in substance use and the criminal legal and child welfare systems and those early in their careers. Senior and mid-level scientists provide mentorship to these scientists and collaborate with them on project design, analyses, research paper production, and grant preparation. LI has worked to understand how best to cultivate this critical workforce, including implementing policies regarding recruitment, hiring, retention, and employee satisfaction.
