Treatment and Recovery Support Models
A-CRA, ACC, and CRA are evidence-based treatment models, meaning they have been evaluated in various clinical trials. Scientific findings and reviews of these models have been published in peer-reviewed publications, clinical books, monographs, and professional magazines. Additionally, A-CRA is included in the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC).
The Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) is a cognitive treatment for adults with substance use disorders.
The Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA) is a developmentally-appropriate cognitive behavioral treatment for youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 years old with substance use disorders.
Assertive Continuing Care (ACC) uses adolescent or adult Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA/A-CRA) procedures, home visits, and case management for individuals following an episode of treatment for substance use.
RMS is a recovery support model for individuals of all ages following an episode of treatment for substance use.
