Our Crisis Residential Services, located in Maryville, IL, provides 24-hour short-term supervised care for persons 18 years of age and older experiencing a psychiatric crisis that does not require hospitalization. The average length of stay is 14 days, and admission into the unit is voluntary. During their stay, clients spend time in groups that meet four or more times per day, providing education on topics helpful to individuals in crisis.
Persons may refer themselves for crisis residential services or may be referred by a hospital, police department, mental health agency, social service agency, or family member. A screening, conducted either in person or over the phone, is required to determine eligibility for admission.
