Laurie is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Chestnut Health Systems, specializing in behavioral healthcare for adults and adolescents. She is trained in evidence-based practices, including recovery-oriented, trauma informed, and strength-based systems of care. She is a member of the St. Louis Nurses in Advanced Practice, Association of Missouri Nurse Practitioners, Missouri Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau.
Laurie attended Saint Louis University Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing where she obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice. She approaches treatment with a focus on patient-centered care, ensuring they meet their health goals.
Laurie chose nursing because she needed a job, but stayed in the profession “because I could not imagine working in another field. I realized my life’s mission included increasing access to healthcare.”
In her spare time, Laurie enjoys gardening, being in nature, and spending time with her friends and family.
