Dr. Hamad is a Family Medicine Resident at Chestnut Health Systems. He is trained in evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Hamad earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He values his patient’s input and makes an intentional effort to listen and partner with them in their care. “I value honesty, clear communication, and treating the whole person — not just the condition.”
Dr. Hamad chose this field to help people and to serve his community. He enjoys the ability to form real relationships with his patients and make a difference in their lives. “I love getting to know my patients and their families over time and solving problems together. Every patient teaches me something, and that keeps me growing.”
In his free time, Dr. Hamad enjoys building things from scratch including robots, drones, web platforms, and more! “Outside of medicine, I work on projects at the intersection of healthcare and technology. I enjoy building tools that bring care closer to patients and that support physicians in delivering it.” Dr. Hamad wants to utilize technology to make care more accessible, especially for underserved communities.
