Lisa Meredith, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Lisa is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Chestnut Health Systems. She is trained in evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. She is a member of the Association of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Lisa earned her masters of nursing from Saint Louis University, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She approaches treatment with a focus on delivering holistic, patient-centered, and integrative care. “I strive to treat the whole person — not merely a diagnosis — by going beyond symptom management to understand the broader context of each individual’s life.” She often incorporates complementary therapies such as mindfulness, physical activity, and personalized nutrition support to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Lisa chose this profession because she believes that mental health is essential to whole-person wellness. “I’m passionate about supporting individuals through every step of their healing journey.” She enjoys walking alongside her patients as they work towards healing and growth. “I’m especially passionate about advancing social justice, expanding access to quality care, and helping to break down the stigma that surrounds mental illness.” She says the most rewarding part of her work is being part of her patient’s journey.

Lisa also serves as a clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students during their mental health rotation at Saint Louis University.
